About Broccoflower

Brocco flower is a cross hybrid of broccoli and cauliflower. They belong to Brassica oleracea species under the botrytis cultivar group. Broccoflower was introduced by Tanimura and Antle company during 1990’s where they 4200 acres of land where they practise organic farming thus resulting in production of a new hybrid. Romanesco broccoli is often called as broccoflower as it looks like cauliflower with strange factual patterns growing that resembles pines of a tree. They are milder and tender in taste when compared to cauliflower and broccoli and starts to give a stingy taste if over cooked. This attribute is similar to its other related vegetables.
